» Disallow stats on previously viewed page
    Asked By: mnikkel on 3/27/2002 - 13:13 | no replies | reply
This may be an easy fix and I'm just missing it, but I have a page with thumbnails and ever time the person views a larger image of a thumbnail, the return to the thumbnail page counts as a stat. Any ideas???

» Why is IP not normalized?
    Asked By: bax on 3/27/2002 - 06:56 | no replies | reply
Is there any reason why the IP field isn't normalized? Everything else is, so why not IP? I'm just a little confused as to why that wouldn't have been done.

    » error in AvgStay?
    Asked By: bax on 3/26/2002 - 23:02 | no replies | reply
In the reports document, there's a field for average stay. However, this only subtracts the difference between two TIMES, grouped by sessionID. There is no accounting for date, and a session can span two dates. This seems to me to be a critical error - shouldn't the avgStay be calculating based on the difference between both date and time?

    What am I missing?

    Sincerely,

» port of StatCountEx to SQL
    Asked By: bax on 3/26/2002 - 23:00 | no replies | reply
I'd like to be able to get ahold of user justinj to ask him a few questions about his port of StatCountEx to work with SQL server. Is this possible?

I also have done some work to put the count.asp page into several stored procedures instead of the recordset technique used, to improve performance (significantly? depends on how much value you place on stored procedures).

» Reason visitor count might stop counting?
    Asked By: khiggins on 3/26/2002 - 11:06 | no replies | reply
    Hello…
I have a development site that has not gone live yet, however, I have had your StatCounteX running on it for some time now, in the beginning it would count the visitors, but for some reason the visitors are not being counted any more, I don’t believe I have changed anything because I have not been working on that site for several months now, the Page Views are counted OK, just not the Visitors?
Any Ideas of what might be causing that to not work now???

    Keep up the great work!!

    Thanks for your help

    » XP problems
    Asked By: mikemac29 on 3/26/2002 - 10:29 | no replies | reply
I've implemented the XP fix, but the DB just doesn't even see people who use XP. I know a handful of people who are using it and am using a bravenet counter to see when they view one of the pages on my site, but the IP there doesn't even show up in my StatcounteX reports. They aren't being seen by the counter. Any ideas?
